I am a new pole trekker and did't know if I would even like using them. That's when I decided to try these before I invested serious $ and I'm so glad I did.They are great to start with and are adjustable to accommodate everyone. A great starter set that can be upcycled for a tent pole in a pinch.

Need better instructions for tightening
I almost sent these back because I couldn't get the extensions tight enough to not collapse if I needed to put my full body weight (only 130lbs!) on the poles (such as if I tripped). Instructions for tightening should be included, and clarify that you'll need a wrench, not a screwdriver, to get them tight enough. The 4-stars are because of the non-existent instructions. I would have given the poles themselves 5-stars because they are lightweight and the grip is comfortable.
