Mixed Feelings
I originally gave the bike a 4 star rating for the convenience, however I have to take my rating to 3 stars as we bought 2 of these electric bikes and one works really well and the second has issues. More specifically, the white model is very difficult to charge due to needing to have a light on and spending a few minutes trying to get the male and female plug to connect properly. Also, the white model has a defect with a coil/cable that doesn't load properly while folding and unfolding the bike, making it so you could easily hurt yourself (and I have) by pinching your finger/skin.

Just the bike that I needed.
My heavy eBike was stolen. I bought the Judd Retrospec because it was about 20 pounds lighter and easier to put on the bike rack. The pedal assist system took some getting used to, but with each new discovery I liked the ride more. I'm 80 years old and ride with a group of older men. I ride in the back of the pack because with my new bike I can ride faster than any of them!

Good bike
It’s a good bike, a bit on the heavy side but that is to be expected with the suspension, rack, and fenders added. Assembly was very easy and the packaging did its job well.

Awesome option for city commuter train combo
I was looking for an e-bike that wouldn't be so heavy to lift onto a subway or commuter train and this fits the bill! Most e-bikes are so heavy or you have to sacrifice speed/battery life to get those lighter weights. The bike also looks quite stylish. I ended up getting the basket for the handlebars since this doesn't come with a rack, so now it's a lot more versatile for carrying my backpack or other items. Would be cool if there was a case to go with it?
